Shipping Instructions

Shipping fresh flowers from another state is surprisingly simple! Watch the video below and read the instructions for detailed information on how to do this correctly. Once you checkout & book, you will get a confirmation email with the address to send your flowers to.

  • A sturdy box that fits the size of your arrangement. Make sure the box isn’t too small so that it won’t smash your flowers, and not too big so the flowers will stay in place.

  • Paper towel, rubber bands, and a smaller plastic bag to go over the stems.

  • Newspaper, paper towels, packing peanuts or anything of that sort for extra protection (NO PLASTIC), and your beautiful flowers of course!

Here is how you properly package your arrangement to be shipped:

Step 1: Take the bouquet/arrangement and trim the ends of the stems about a quarter inch at a diagonal. If you are mailing a casket spray from a funeral, remove all stems from the floral foam and bunch them together like a bouquet and follow the same instructions.

Step 2: Dampen your paper towel (make sure it isn’t too wet or it will make a mess) and put it around the bottoms of the stems to give them moisture on their journey. Secure the paper towel with a rubber band.

Step 3: Take your plastic bag and cover the paper towel covered stems. Close that up with the rubber bands again to ensure they are secure and moisture won’t escape.

Step 4: Place your arrangement in the box and stuff the empty spaces with your choice of filler whether that be newspaper, paper towel, packing peanuts, etc. This helps the bouquet stay in place during the trip so it will stay in the best shape! DO NOT use plastic or bubble wrap of any kind around your blooms when shipping. If the blooms are covered in plastic it will trap in moisture and heat and can cause browning, wilting and molding of the flowers. Make sure the box is sturdy and taped up really well so it won't be damaged on the way to me. Write "fragile" in large letters in various places around the box.

Step 5: Include a paper in the box with your first and last name, order number, email and frame selection.

Step 6: Take the box to your local shipping center and have it overnighted! It is crucial to overnight the flowers so they get here in the best condition possible! The fresher the flowers are, the better the final piece will turn out. Flowers have to be fresh in order for me to work with them. I would recommend UPS or FedEx but as long as wherever you go can guarantee overnight shipping, you will be good to go!

Step 7: Email camry@thepressedflowerco.com your tracking number so I know it has been sent and can track it.

  • DO NOT use plastic or bubble wrap of any kind around your blooms when shipping to us. If the blooms are covered in plastic it will trap in moisture and heat and can cause browning, wilting and molding of the flowers.

  • Remove ANY pendants, ribbon, etc. attached to your bouquet before sending if you want to keep them. If pendants, ribbon or anything other than the bouquet is included in the box it will be discarded.

  • If you are the bride having your bouquet preserved, designate a family member, bridesmaid or friend that you trust to be in charge of overnighting your flowers for you after the wedding! I recommend getting together all the materials a few weeks before your wedding so they are ready to go. Trust me, you will be so busy and it will be the last thing you will want to figure out after the wedding.

  • Don’t have UPS, FedEx, etc package your flowers for you. Oftentimes they will wrap the flowers in plastic which results in ruined flowers. It is worth it to follow these simple instructions to get the best results and just give them the box all taped up and ready to go!

  • Once I receive your arrangement I will send a photo to your email letting you know it arrived.
